Welcome to Jordan Broadcast Services! We are eastern North Carolina's home of custom services for broadcasters. We provide custom Liners, I.D.s and voice tracks for small market, low power and internet radio stations. All of our solutions are recorded using state-of-the-art digital technology. This includes OMT’s iMediaTouch system. We also provide custom built computers for both businesses and individuals. Our broadcast computer systems are centered on the AudioVAULT system or the iMediaTouch system and we can provide local technical assistance on these systems. We also have expertise in consumer electronics with over 22 years of knowledge we can help you with the digital transition.

Company Background

Jordan Broadcast Services was formed in November of 1998 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina by John Richard Jordan who worked for two local radio stations at the time. He has a life long dream of owning his own radio station. The radio station is currently in development as an internet radio station and may soon appear. John decided to put his radio and computer talents to greater use by offering his services to anyone who needed him versus working for "the other guy". John still works in radio at First Media Radio in Rocky Mount part-time. John also has many years of experience selling major consumer eletronics at major retailers and can help you with your home theater needs.

Our Equipment

The Server

Consists of a Pentium based system running Windows XP Pro. Which has a 160GB Western Digital hard drive, a SONY 32X CD-ROM drive, a Hewlett Packard CD-R/RW drive, 3 1/2 floppy drive, E-MU 1212m sound card, Orban Optimod PC sound card, ATI integrated AGP video card, integrated Intel 100MB/s NIC, iMediaTouch On-Air 3.0.0, Microsoft IntelliMouse Serial mouse, Microsoft Natural Keyboard, Dell 19" LCD monitor.

The Workstations

Consists of a Pentium based system, running Windows 2000 Professional, it has a Maxtor hard drive, ATI Rage IIc AGP video card, 32X CD-ROM, Mustek flatbed scanner, 3Com 100MB/s NIC, 56K modem, 3 1/2 floppy drive, integrated Sound Blaster sound card. A second PC workstation added in December of 2003 is a Dell Dimension 8300 with Pentium 4 processor with hyper threading running at 3.20Ghz, 1GB RAM, 500GB of RAID 0 storage, with a Western Digital 500GB USB external drive, E-MU 1820m soundcard, integrated 100MB/s NIC, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro video card, DVD player and DVD/CD writer drives and 19” LCD monitor and an HP Color LaserJet 2550L laser printer.. For mobile work we have recently added an HP zv6131us laptop with an E-MU 1616m recording interface. These PCs are connected via a NETGEAR RP-614 router and cat 5 Ethernet cabling. We use the following audio software: Adobe Audition 1.5 through 3.0, iMediaTouch version 3.0.0.

The Audio Gear

Consists of a Mackie 1402-VLZ mixer, Electro-Voice RE-20 microphone with 309A shock mount mounted on an O.C. White mic arm, Symetrix 528E voice processor, E-MU Mastering grade sound cards, Orban Optimod PC, Sony MiniDisc recorder/player, (3) Sony 100 disc CD players, Sony & Technics cassette decks, Technics equalizer, Sony DVD player & Laserdisc player, Technics turntable, Sony Hi-Fi VCR, and Sony Hi8 camcorder. We also use Maxell, TDK, Sony, Verbatim, & Iomega recording media.
